A Prayer in Motion - Heavenly Hydrangeaswas painted while recovering from grief at the death of my portrait subject 94-year-old Hans Brunner who is renowned in Australia for proving a woman innocent of the murder of her child. The flower painting was completed from life in my studio using real flowers.I am a traditional painter and teacher who uses spike lavender and linseed oil as well as sometimes grinding up my own pigments.I helped save and now run the historic Australian Guild of Realist Artists and also produce a glossy and hardcopy nationwide magazine as part of the rescue mission
